January 6, 2017

Clermont community has raised over $630,000 for hospice programs during the last 23 years.

Tavares, Fla. – Bingo, a golf tournament, delicious dinners, live performances and an ice cream social are among the number of fundraising events scheduled during Clerbrook residents’ Cornerstone Hospice Week, January 14 – 21, 2017.

The weeklong effort ends on Saturday, January 21st with a Flea Market and Rummage Sale at 8:30 a.m., followed by auctions at Noon. That evening, Johnny Counterfeit, a comedian and impersonator from Nashville Tennessee, will perform at The Hearth at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.

Since 1993, the Clermont RV resort’s residents have donated approximately $630,000 through their annual Hospice Week events with proceeds benefiting Cornerstone Hospice and Palliative Care’s Mike Conley Hospice House. Last year’s effort raised $49,000.

The community is invited to attend all or some of the events. Tickets are available for purchase Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to Noon at The Hearth, located on resort property, 20005 US Highway 27 in Clermont.
